UNESCO Read and Earn Federation (UNESCO REF) is a multi-sectoral UNESCO Institute established to enhance UN/UNESCO’s mandate within Nigeria broad educational and human resource sector. UNESCO REF is a member of the UNESCO world body of Associations, Centers and Institute. Our presence cuts across the nooks and crannies of Nigeria through our schools/communities network, State representatives across the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and 774 local governments coordinators in the country.
UNESCO REF is financially and legally autonomous, and is committed to enhancing requisite competencies among Nigerian youth through various globally informed programs and activities which aligns with the nation's priorities and aspirations.
Short Term goal
- To work in cooperation with relevant Government entities, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and private sector stakeholders who share our priorities to maximize the efficacy of state and non-state efforts toward the actualization of the United Nations global goals, particularly, within the educational, economic growth and partnership sectors.
